PM2 Engineering IKE is the successor company of PMA ENGINEERING – P. MANDAS & ASSOCIATES E.E., formed in 2019.
PM2 engineering is involved primarily in the fields of structural design and project management. The company employs engineers with considerable experience, most of them having worked both in Greece and abroad in consulting offices and universities. Their expertise is not limited to general structural and project management aspects, but it also involves a variety of topics, related to specialized subjects in static, dynamic and earthquake engineering analysis and design. Furthermore, the company is cooperating with professional and academic specialists, utilizing their services in a variety of engineering applications.

The company’s professional activities cover a broad range of engineering, including amongst others structural design (reinforced and prestressed concrete structures, steel and composite structures), advanced analysis (finite element analysis, soil-structure interaction analysis, dynamic and elastoplastic analysis), analysis and design of structural components in geotechnical works (temporary and permanent retaining structures, deep foundations, underground structures), project and construction management. Company members have covered a broad range of activities, which include research (development of advanced models for steel and composite structures, programming of new methods for advanced reliability analysis of structures), participation in research programs for the development of the Eurocodes, publications in international engineering journals etc.
With the aim of maximizing the quality and efficiency of the services provided, the company is equipped with the most complete and up to date facilities and technical support, which are continuously upgraded. Additionally, the company, in all aspects of its activities and all operational levels, applies a Quality Management System for Design, Supervision and Project Management. Panos Mandas
M.Sc, DIC, Ph.D
Founding member
Structural Engineer, graduated from Aristotele University of Thessaloniki in 1988. In 1989 he obtained his M.Sc. degree in “Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics” from Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine in London and in 1993 he was awarded the Ph.D. title for his research work on “Advanced Modeling of Composite Frames Subjected to Earthquake Loading”. During this period he cooperated as a specialist with major consulting offices in the U.K. in a variety of projects, participated in field missions around the world in earthquake damaged areas and published a substantial number of research papers in international engineering journals. In Greece he worked as a consultant in Attiko Metro S.A. (Athens Underground project) before entering the private practice. Founding partner also of PMA Engineering, he is leading the design and acting as project manager in a variety of structural projects for more than 25 years.
Panos Makris
B.Sc, M.Sc, DIC
Founding member
Structural Engineer, graduated from Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine in London in 1988 and in 1989 he obtained his M.Sc. degree in “Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics”. For the next two years he worked in the Analysis and Development Department of Brown & Root in London performing analysis and design of offshore platforms in the North Sea. In returning to Greece he worked as a consultant for the OTM Company involved primarily in the analysis and design of several structures for the Athens Underground project. Founding partner also of PMA Engineering, he is leading the design and acting as project manager in a variety of structural projects for more than 25 years.
