The second largest stadium in Greece was upgraded for the Olympic Games of 2004, in order to host the preliminary football games. The final structural tender design includes restoration of the structure’s adequacy to static and earthquake loads, covering of the west side of the stadium with a steel shelter and finally the addition of new reinforced concrete and composite structures.
