During the Olympic Games of 2004 the stadium was utilized for the preliminary football games. The final structural tender design has been performed in accordance with the architectural preliminary design. The stadium has a capacity of 21,000 people and consists of the main bowl, the steel shelter, the warm-up course, access structures, foot-bridges etc.
